Surface Subsidence Characteristics of Mining Panel Layout Configuration with Multi-Seam Longwall Mining

Mining-induced subsidence is critical for ecological environment reconstruction and damage prevention in coal mining areas. Understanding the characteristics of surface with multi-seam first step. Surface different panel layout configurations was investigated by means UDEC numerical simulation. Based on simulation results, it indicated that configuration had a significant impact subsidence, including ground horizontal displacement, crack propagation, fissure development. The overlapped region upper lower key region, where existing bedding separations strata cracks close activate, integrity strength interburden layer are reduced, magnitude enhanced. profile stacked configuration, external staggered, edge internal two edges staggered steeper deeper, corresponding values displacement greater than other regions. fissures types stepped, slided, graben developed above panel, development location closely related to movement edge.
